SonoMom is an affordable ultrasound training platform for sonographic diagnosis of embryonic complications and demise. The system offers both transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound examinations for training clinicians to identify sonographic features of early pregnancy complications during the first 12 weeks of gestation including ectopic pregnancy. SonoMom is a full body torso with internal and external landmarks and comes with simulated transvaginal and transabdominal probes to support psychomotor and imaging skills required for vaginal scanning. The 1st Trimester Complications software includes 13 patient cases presenting with normal or abnormal findings as well as two non-pregnant normal. The computer screen shows the ultrasound image obtained using the simulated probes on the manikin.
